
Letting in the Light
were commissioned by social researchers from
Staffordshire University to work with
New Earswick, York, residents and school pupils from
Joseph Rowntree School via a series of in-school and community-based workshops.
Activities included interviews, home video extracts, on-location photography and filming, and wax resist on to silk panels. The aim of the project was to encourage links between young and old in the village.
This work was part of a project aimed at building better relationships between residents in
New Earswick and was funded by the
Joseph Rowntree Foundation.
