Letting in the Light were commissioned by
Combined Health Care to work with
Mental Health Service User Groups in North Staffordshire to create a public artwork for the new
Harplands Hospital (Acute
Psychiatric). During workshops, conversations were held, and then
integrated into an installation consisting of text, weaving across long
subtly dyed panels of silk, and moving silently across two video
monitors.
All the work is permanently installed in the foyer of
Harplands Hospital, Hartshill, Stoke-On-Trent.
An application to
Arts for business with funding already secured from Carillon has been made to enable another permanent piece for the exterior of the Hospital.
