St Mark's School Shelton Visual Arts project

Letting in the Light were commissioned by St Mark's school to work with pupils from year. Other year groups in the school had been working with the Scottish National Opera to create a performance of the Legend of Slim McBride, a story that addresses why it is important to look after rainforests.

Visual artists worked with pupils to create panels wax resist panels that used images of the rain forest which were displayed during the final performance.
